The MK105 MOD O hoisting sling (multi-leg pole pendant) consists of a pendant assembly and separate leg assemblies. The pendant assembly has a spliced eye at each end, a stiffening tube and a braided nylon rope. The leg assembly is a braided nylon rope with spliced eye at one end and a thimble and safety hook at the other end. Up to six legs may be attached to the lower pendant eye by means of choker hitches. The long legs are color coded green and the short legs are color coded orange.
The slings are used in vertical replenishment for transfer of all types of cargo.
